Our Story
Threads began with a simple challenge and a spark of curiosity. With her youngest child starting school and more time at home during the pandemic, Pitt Town mum Michelle Muscat picked up a sewing machine for the very first time. Armed with determination (and a few YouTube tutorials), she tried her hand at making scrunchies. A single post in a local community group quickly turned into her first bulk order — and just like that, the business was born.
Originally known as All Things Scrunchie, Michelle’s one-woman operation grew through word of mouth. She started fulfilling custom requests for schools, sports clubs, local businesses, and everyday families — making everything from hair accessories and headbands to pet gear, gift sets, and playtime essentials.
Where We Are Now
Now reimagined as Threads, the brand continues to offer handcrafted, made-to-order accessories with a personal touch. Working from her purpose-built backyard studio, Michelle manages the business around school hours — staying true to her family-first values while growing her reach across Australia.
Today, Threads products are worn and loved by communities nationwide, with custom orders available for events, clubs, and individuals alike. As we continue to grow, we remain rooted in what started it all: creativity, community, and the belief that everyday life deserves something a little special.
